PLAYING: For the Glory
ęDavid Michael Carpenter

Why do bad things, happen to God's people
Why are they crying, and hurting inside.
There is a crown, for those who are faithful,
To lay down before Him
when we reach that side.
Give Him your burden
and he'll make you able,
To use what you're given,
and what you're denied,
For the glory, the glory of God.

I was a man who was set in his mind,
Trying to find God my way.
I had my strength and my pride,
To help see me through.
But He moved his hand
and my life it was changed,
By a life that He brought to this world.
He used my daughter to bring,
This man to his knees.

Why do bad things, happen to God's people
Why are they crying, and hurting inside.
There is a crown, for those who are faithful,
To lay down before Him
when we reach that side.
Give Him your burden
and he'll make you able,
To use what you're given,
and what you're denied,
For the glory, the glory of God.

You've been so hurt,
and the pain won't subside,
And you feel you've been left by the way.
He knows the depths of the grief,
That you feel inside.
The hungry, the helpless,
the hopeless and poor,
Suffering humanity.
He has his purpose and plan,
For you and me.

Why do bad things, happen to God's people
Why are they crying, and hurting inside.
There is a crown, for those who are faithful,
To lay down before Him
when we reach that side.
Give Him your burden
and he'll make you able,
To use what you're given,
and what you're denied,
For the glory, the glory of God.
